Anti-Bullying Policy
Standards against bullying, harassment, intimidation and harmful conduct across ASN Academy online, institutional and field learning environments.
1. Principle
Every ASN Academy participant should be able to learn, teach and collaborate without bullying, humiliation, threats, harassment or deliberate exclusion. Respectful disagreement is permitted; targeted harmful conduct is not.
2. Prohibited conduct
Bullying may include repeated insults, intimidation, threats, coercion, discriminatory abuse, malicious rumours, cyberbullying, unwanted sexual comments, deliberate social exclusion, misuse of images or personal information, or abuse of authority intended to distress, silence or disadvantage another person.
3. Online conduct
The policy applies to ASN Academy dashboards, course discussions, live sessions, messaging channels, virtual classrooms and digital communities. Participants must not use platform tools to shame, impersonate, stalk, threaten or repeatedly target another user.
4. Instructor and institutional responsibility
Instructors, facilitators and institutional coordinators should respond to reported bullying consistently, avoid retaliation against reporters, document material concerns and escalate serious or repeated conduct through appropriate programme channels.
5. Reporting
Learners and other users are encouraged to report bullying or harassment promptly. Reports should identify the conduct, approximate dates, persons involved and any available supporting evidence. Urgent safety concerns should be escalated immediately to responsible safeguarding or competent authorities where appropriate.
6. Response
Responses may include guidance, mediation where suitable, warnings, restrictions, removal from a learning space, suspension of platform access or referral to an institution, employer or competent authority. Measures should be proportionate to the seriousness, evidence and safeguarding needs of the case.
7. No retaliation
Retaliation against a person for making a good-faith report or participating in a review is not acceptable.
8. Review
ASN Academy may update this policy and may adopt additional codes of conduct for specific schools, universities, field programmes, corporate cohorts or events.
