Policy Statement<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Afrika Sisi Nyumbani Academy is committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment where every student feels valued, protected, and empowered to succeed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We maintain a zero-tolerance approach to bullying in all its forms \u2013 whether physical, verbal, social, or digital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bullying is inconsistent with our values and will not be accepted under any circumstances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>2. Purpose of This Policy<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This policy aims to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Prevent bullying before it occurs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Promote kindness, empathy, and mutual respect<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Protect the emotional and physical well-being of learners<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide clear procedures for reporting and responding<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Foster a positive academy culture<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Every member of our community shares responsibility for maintaining a respectful environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>3. Scope<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This policy applies to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2713 Students and learners<br>\u2713 Staff and trainers<br>\u2713 Volunteers and interns<br>\u2713 Parents and guardians<br>\u2713 Visitors<br>\u2713 Partner institutions<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It covers behavior occurring:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>On the academy premises<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>During camps, trips, and field activities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In classrooms and workshops<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>On school transport<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>During competitions and events<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>On digital platforms and social media linked to the Academy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>4. What is Bullying?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bullying is intentional behavior that harms, intimidates, or humiliates another person, often repeated over time and involving a power imbalance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Examples include:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Physical Bullying<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Hitting, pushing, or damaging belongings<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Threatening physical harm<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Verbal Bullying<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Name-calling<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Insults<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Teasing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Offensive remarks<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Social or Relational Bullying<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Excluding others<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Spreading rumors<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Public embarrassment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Encouraging others to isolate someone<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Cyberbullying<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Harassment through messages or social media<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sharing embarrassing images<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Online threats<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Impersonation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Discriminatory Bullying<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bullying based on gender, disability, background, religion, nationality, or other personal characteristics is considered especially serious.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>5. Response Procedures<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All reports will be handled promptly, fairly, and confidentially.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Typical response steps include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Immediate safety assessment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Listening to all parties involved<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Documenting the incident<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Applying appropriate corrective measures<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Supporting the affected student<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Monitoring for recurrence<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Serious cases may involve parents, guardians, or relevant authorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>9.
