Afrika Sisi Nyumbani Academy is committed to fairness, transparency, and professionalism in all financial transactions. This Refund and Cancellation Policy outlines the conditions under which payments may be refunded, transferred, or credited.

Our goal is to protect both our clients and the sustainability of our training programs while maintaining the highest standards of trust.

2. General Refund Principle

Because our programs involve advance planning, trainer commitments, learning materials, and limited class spaces, not all payments are automatically refundable.

However, we strive to review every request reasonably and compassionately.

3. Eligibility for Refunds

Full Refund May Be Issued When:

  • A program is cancelled by the Nyumbani Academy.
  • A session is significantly rescheduled, and the new dates are not suitable for the participant.
  • Duplicate payment has been made.
  • Payment errors result in overcharging.

Partial Refund May Be Issued When:

  • A participant withdraws at least 7–14 days before the program start date.
  • Documented medical or emergencies prevent attendance.
  • Visa or travel restrictions apply (for international participants).

Administrative fees may apply to cover processing and preparation costs.

Refunds Are Normally Not Issued When:

  • A participant withdraws shortly before or after the program begins.
  • The participant fails to attend without prior notice.
  • The participant is removed due to misconduct or violation of Nyumbani Academy policies.
  • Incorrect personal scheduling or a change of mind occurs after confirmation.

4. Transfers Instead of Refunds (Highly Recommended Option)

To support our learners, the Nyumbani Academy may offer a program transfer in place of a refund.

Participants may:

✔ Move to a future intake
✔ Transfer enrollment to another eligible program
✔ Assign the slot to another participant (subject to approval)

This flexible approach ensures your investment in learning is preserved.

5. Short Courses, Camps, and Field Programs

Due to the intensive planning required for camps and outdoor programs:

  • Deposits are typically non-refundable but may be transferable.
  • Late cancellations may forfeit a larger portion of the fee.

We strongly encourage early communication if plans change.

6. Online Programs and E-Learning Materials

For digital courses, online trainings, downloadable resources, certificates, and e-learning materials offered through Nyumbani Academy and Afrika Sisi Nyumbani Ltd:

  • Refund requests must be submitted before substantial access or participation occurs, including downloading learning materials, accessing protected course content, or attending multiple live or recorded sessions.
  • Due to the digital and accessible nature of online educational content, refunds may be limited once course access has been significantly utilized.
  • Certificate-track programs, mentorship programs, and specialized learning pathways are generally non-refundable once participation has officially commenced.
  • In cases of technical errors, duplicate payments, or exceptional circumstances, ASN Ltd may review requests on a case-by-case basis in accordance with fairness, transparency, and applicable consumer protection principles.
  • Participants experiencing technical difficulties are encouraged to contact the support team promptly for assistance before requesting cancellation.

7. How to Request a Refund

All refund requests must be submitted formally with supporting details.

  • Full name
  • Program registered
  • Proof of payment
  • Reason for request

8. Processing Timeline

Approved refunds are typically processed within:

7–21 business days, depending on banking or mobile payment providers.

Refunds are returned through the original payment method whenever possible.

9. Administrative Fees

Afrika Sisi Nyumbani Limited reserves the right to deduct reasonable administrative costs related to:

  • Payment processing
  • Learning material preparation
  • Bank transaction charges
  • Reserved training space

We aim to keep such deductions fair and minimal.

10. Exceptional Circumstances

We understand that unexpected life events occur. Cases involving serious emergencies may be reviewed individually with empathy and discretion.

Our priority is always to balance compassion with operational responsibility.

11. Fraud Prevention

Refunds will only be issued after payment verification. The Academy reserves the right to decline suspicious or fraudulent claims.
